The Bephies Beauty Supply x Union x Women’s AJ 1 Elevate High “Summer ‘96” is a collaboration by Beth Gibbs’ streetwear brand, the Los Angeles retailer, and Jordan Brand on a women’s-exclusive colorway of the lifestyle shoe. Bephie’s Beauty Supply is a clothing brand founded by Union LA owner Chris Gibbs’ wife, Bethany. The brand’s Jordan 1 High Elevate gives a unique look to the Jordan 1 High Elevate by meshing its design with the Air Footscape. More specifically, the shoe fuses the Jordan 1’s original leather design with the woven textile design of the Air Footscape. A Kinetic Green Swoosh appears on the sides and an orange “Wings” logo can be found on the collar. Other details include a yellow “UN/LA” tab on the collar and an old school “Air” logo on the tongue tag. The shoe’s deconstructed appearance is reminiscent of Union’s AJ 1 collaborations from 2018.
